Skardu, Pakistan.

A few lines about my trip to Skardu...

The mighty mountains stood high, as we traveled alongside the River Sindh, whose wavering waves wobbled up and down.

Do not let the dull appearance of the beige beasts deceive you. Inside reside gemstones of various colors. These are invisible to the mortal human eye, because they are tucked tightly underneath the blanket of the ferocious mountains. We drove up high, towards the peak of one the the monstrous giants, as Sindh followed us, splashing up and down tirelessly by our side. Up top we saw what we had least expected - a plain, low, green land.

A plain, low land at the tip of a mountain. ‘And which of the favours of your Lord will you deny?’

Downhill, we reached the Karakoram Highway - also referred to as the eighth wonder of the world.

The river calmed down as we passed by the Gilgit, Chilas and Naran.

After a long day of adventure, exposure and exhaustion, we reached the comfort of our house and crashed on our beds.
